Matt and Casey, en el perfil

Hey, congratulations to us!

Now that the move out is complete, I've decided to finish up this profiling business so that soon enough everyone has one.  Up next is Ryan Chun's engineering profile, and a slew of other important people.  Hopefully a couple guest travel posts and some sort of touching multi-parter about orphans by the end of the summer.  I'm pretty keen on getting a few submissions from friends abroad, too.  Friends Abroad, we'll call it, but you don't have to actually be abroad, you can fake it if you want, just keep it PG and have some respect for yourself.

And now the Latin Heat

Matt is a tricky fellow, with a long and irritating history of disagreeing with people.  He thrives in moments that could otherwise be awkward, such as a botched high-five attempt, or having to sit next to you in a big lecture hall. His favorite movie is likely Might Ducks 1 or 2, though he rarely makes it all the way through a film without falling asleep.

In the future, I would not be surprised to see Matt:

- have a big night at a casino
- become a wise bartender or coach
- make a million dollars off of "computers"
- dumpster diving

Casey's original perfil didn't really do him justice, so I slept on it and ended up deciding he's just too big for blogs, the internet, and journalism in general.  A quiet but noticeable and dynamic presence, his infamous one-liners have always been the melodic wind chime to Hilmar's drafty sexual undertones.  Few double entendres escape his notice, and he's caught more than his fair share of morally unscrupulous cheaters in his tenure as a student grader.  Like an iceberg, he drifts inexorably and imperviously through a sea of mediocrity, his course set with the same lethal weight and bearing that sank the Titanic.

To bid you kind readers adieu, we have a special photo-prize tonight:

McDonalds beer! + Casey in the flesh!

Another Exciting Profile of Engineering!

Aitor's characteristic coif of curls lies often inhabits hats and hoodies.  A central figure around here, he frequently impersonates a wide variety of campus denizens to comedic effect, indelibly branding their most minute eccentricities in our memories with gesture, accent, song and dance.  He is a lover of music and technology and the outdoors, and has squeezed an absurd degree of utility out of his gig at The Santa Clara.

In the future I wouldn't be surprised to see:
- that Aitor has designed and built a very tall crane
- Aitor standing backstage signing breasts
- Aitor working at a large scale industrial engineering project
- Aitor havin' a beer atop a hill that he has climbed

Stay tuned for Matt & Casey Redux: Latin Heat.

Until next time.

Also, the Word of the Day is fiend, as in "Aitor just crooned that Hasselhoff tune like a sick fiend."

NEW STUFF

Holy crap!  How can we measure G-d's acceptance of Bolo Ties?  Tell me what data set you're using, with a strict requirement of a rigorously defined interval variable, and maybe we'll have an answer?  Any takers?

For real though, big money is on the way, I've been so Busy with a capital 'B' on school work and other attention whores that blogging has kind of slipped into the shit gutter, but don't worry valued readers!  I haven't forgotten you and I promise deliverance of fresh new content imminently.

THE PROFILING CONTINUES.

Feliz Navidad (late)

Back in December Jake said that I should look out for something from winter break to post. I give you little kids in Sayulita, Mexico at their annual Christmas Pageant in the little beach town's main plaza.

Love,

What A Delightful Little Surprise

This morning I ran into a creative short from Sundance, about the famed Doc Ellis no hitter.

If you have the time, the other ones are also likely worth it:
